Cynthia Ann Crawford is an American Model, Actress and Television Personality. She was born on February 20, 1966. Cindy Crawford, as she is popularly called, was one of the most popular supermodels of the 1980s and 1990s. She is a very beautiful model with a trademark mole above her upper lip.
Cindy Crawford came to limelight at about the time of demise of one of the first supermodels, Gia Carangi. She is also said to have a striking resemblance with Gia, hence her being referred to as “Baby Gia”. She appeared on covers of several magazines, runways, ads, fashion campaigns and products. She started out as a model but later on ventured into acting and working with TV media houses, filming and then business.

In her junior year at DeKalb High School, Cindy Crawford was hired, alongside a number of other high school girls, by a local clothing. The reactions from the readers convinced her to push further into the world of modelling. Cindy Crawford was born on February 20, 1966, in DeKalb Illinois to father – Dan Crawford, and mother – Jennifer Sue Crawford-Moluf. She had three siblings; two sisters and one brother. Her two sisters were named Chris and Danielle, and she had a brother named Jeffrey who died of leukaemia at a tender age of 3. Cindy was 10 years old at the time. In 1991, Cindy Crawford got married to actor Richard Gere, but they got divorced in 1995. Then she met and married an entertainment industry businessman and former model Rande Gerber on May 29, 1998. Cindy gave birth to their first child, a son named Presley Walker Gerber, on July 2, 1999. They also have a daughter, Kaia Jordan Gerber, born on September 3, 2001. Her daughter is also a very successful model. Cindy Crawford and her daughter Kaia appeared together on the cover of the April 2016 edition of Vogue Paris.


Cindy Crawford stated on social media that her ancestry was a a mix of English, French and German. In 2013, she discovered that she is a descendant of Charlemagne, and that her ancestors consisted of English nobles and royals of the middle age.
