Apostle Chubuzor Gift Chinyere is a Nigerian Pastor and the founder of Omega Power Ministry (OPM) with its headquarters located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He was born on October 22, 1973; a native of Ohanku-Ndoki in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State.
Apostle Chubuzor is known to be very philanthropic and does his best to send interventions during cases of crisis, indingency and societal needs. He has built schools, hospitals, houses and reformation homes for less privileged and repentant prostitutes. His latest intervention was in the case of the homeless former Nollywood actor, Aguba, whom he bought a house for and is giving other aids to.
CAREER LIFE
In 2006, after a period of sojourn in Lagos and trying his hands at a number of jobs to earn a living, Apostle Chibuzor founded the Omega Power Ministry (OPM) in Port Harcourt. He invariably became the Apostle and General Overseer of the ministry. This was 4 years after he left the Mountain of Fire Ministry. The Omega Power Ministry experienced geometric growth, having its headquarters in Port Harcourt, it currently has over 100 branches spread all over the world.
Apostle Chubuzor took a step further by establishiing a charity arm of the church called The OPM Foundation. It was set up primarily to render humanitarian and philanthropic services to those in need of them. The activities of the OPM Foundation include empowerment, training, education, rehabilitation, donations and several others.
In 2010, OPM Foundation set up a Free Computer Training Center at Elele Prisons, which has graduated many inmates since its commissioning. In 2012, the Foundation opened Free Tailoring and Computer Training Center at Rumuji Town in Emuoha LGA of Rivers State. The OPM Foundation also built boreholes to provide clean water to the people of Rumuji as well as in other communities in Nigeria. The OPM Foundation has also built several free Nursery and Primary Schools where children of less privileged backgrounds get educated for free. In September 2013, the foundation commissioned an ICT based nursery and primary school in Rivers State, strictly for the indingent.
In 2015, Apostle Chubuzor sponsored less privileged children to Paris for an educational excursion. He has also built housing estates in Rumuokwurushi, Rumuoigbo and Aluu communities in Rivers State for widows and homeless indigenes and non-indigenes. Beyond the shores of Nigeria, Apostle Chubuzor has taken his humanitarian services to Houston, Texas; Down Town Street in the United States of America where he sent charity materials to reach the destitute there.
As a result of his acts and performance, he has been recipient of a series of awards including “The Most Philanthropic Man of God” Award by Weekly Watch Magazine and Peace Setting Leadership Award by Verite Newspaper. He was given The Nigerian Image Award of Excellence as a distinguished Nigerian for his contributions to society, by The Nigerian Image and an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Theology from the Freedom University and Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, USA, in 2011.

EARLY LIFE
Apostle Chubuzor Gift Chinyere was born on October 22, 1973 to Mr and Mrs Chinyere Nwankwo who were of the Jehovah Witness Congregation. Both his parents are now late. He had his nursery education at Seabird Nursery School in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He then proceeded to Army Children School, Port Harcourt where he gained his First School Leaving Certificate.
After his basic schooling, Apostle Chubuzor left Port Harcourt for Lagos in search of greener pastures. While in Lagos, he got a job as a cleaner at the Nigerian Airport Authority. He also did work as a security guard as well as other jobs he took up to earn a living before he became a pastor.
Both his parents were members of this Jehovah Witness so he grew up as a faithful to the denomination as well, but as he grew, he joined the Mountain of Fire Ministry where he became a house fellowship teacher. He later left the Mountain of Fire Ministry to become an autonomous preacher of the gospel in 2002.
PERSONAL LIFE AND RELATIONSHIPS
Apostle Chubuzor Gift Chinyere got married to Evangelist Dr Nkechi Juliet Chinyere. They have a daughter named Princess Chibuzor Juliet Chinyere who was born on July 23, 2013, after about 8 years of marriage. It was said that his wife, Evangelist Dr Nkechi Juliet Chinyere, did not have a womb, but she miraculously conceived after 8 years of childlessness and gave birth to their only daughter. The couple welcomed their only child in Dallas, Texas, United States of America.
Apostle Chubuzor reported that his elder sister had tried to blackmail his family and ministry with the news of his wife’s inability to conceive because she does not have a womb. He recalled that after they were married for two years without a child, his wife being quite perturbed, he implored his sister to see his wife to a hospital in Port Harcourt for examination. After the required tests were done, the Doctor announced that Evangelist Nkechi Chinyere did not have a womb. Armed with this information, Apostle Chubuzor’s sister resorted to blackmail, although it wasn’t stated what her demands were.
He lives in a mansion with his family. Senator Ifeanyi Ubah recently bought a new bulletproof limousine G-wagon for him, to add to his fleet of flashy cars.
He built a free school for children born with autism and Down Syndrome, the first of it’s kind in Africa. He provided free school uniforms, free books and learning aids. It is said to be funded through tithes and offerings from OPM Church.
